1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, accessing the website, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SubSplit.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be able to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction and be at least 13 years old. Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity under your account unless it resulted from a security failure caused by SubSplit.

3. Use of the Service

SubSplit helps you track subscriptions, renewal reminders, and expenses you confirm. Payment Capture, push notifications, and product analytics are optional features that require your choice or device permission.

• Use SubSplit only for lawful personal or household finance organization.
• Do not interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or attempt unauthorized access to SubSplit systems.
• Do not submit data you do not have the right to process.
• Do not upload malicious code, bypass security controls, or misuse connected third-party services.

4. Payment Capture and Optional Permissions

Payment Capture is optional and requires Android's SMS permission. When enabled, SubSplit can process supported English UPI debit SMS from your bank on your device to suggest an expense draft. Some payments will be missed. You decide whether to confirm and save it.

You can pause capture in SubSplit or revoke the SMS permission at any time in Android settings. Disabling it stops new Payment Capture drafts and does not prevent manual subscription or expense entry.

5. Subscription, Expense, and Reminder Information

SubSplit provides tracking, estimates, and reminders for convenience. Renewal dates, prices, currencies, expense details, and reminders may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You remain responsible for confirming charges, cancellations, refunds, trial deadlines, and billing terms with the relevant provider.

6. Payments and Paid Features

SubSplit may offer free, paid, beta, or waitlist-only features. If paid features are introduced, applicable pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before purchase. App stores or payment processors may apply additional terms.

7. Intellectual Property

SubSplit software, design, branding, website, and documentation are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works except as allowed by law or with written permission. Third-party names and logos belong to their owners.

8. Third-Party Services

SubSplit uses services such as Supabase, Google Sign-In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Firebase Crashlytics, optional PostHog analytics, Brandfetch, and an exchange-rate service. Their terms and privacy policies may apply. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or policies.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, retain, and delete information. By using SubSplit, you agree that we can process information as described there.

10. Disclaimers

SubSplit is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate service. SubSplit is not financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubSplit and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed cancellations, failed reminders, billing disputes, or third-party charges arising from your use of the service.

12. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using SubSplit at any time and delete your account in the app or follow our account deletion instructions. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for others or the service, or if required by law.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the app, website, or account email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
