1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, joining the waitlist, accessing the website, or using the app, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SubSplit.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be able to form a binding agreement in your jurisdiction and must be at least 13 years old to use SubSplit. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity resulted from a security failure caused by SubSplit.

3. Use of the Service

SubSplit helps you track recurring charges, review subscription candidates, receive renewal reminders, and manage subscription-related information. Some features, including Gmail Scan, push notifications, contacts access, and Split Bills, are optional and require your permission.

• You may use SubSplit only for lawful, personal, or internal household finance organization.
• You may not interfere with, abuse, reverse engineer, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to SubSplit systems.
• You may not use SubSplit to process data that you do not have the right to access.
• You may not upload malicious code, attempt to bypass security controls, or misuse third-party APIs connected to the service.

4. Gmail Scan and Optional Permissions

Gmail Scan is optional and uses read-only Gmail access to detect subscription-related emails. You authorize SubSplit to process relevant email content only for that purpose when you start a scan.

You can revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google account. Disabling permissions may limit related features but will not prevent you from manually adding subscriptions.

5. Subscription Information and Reminders

SubSplit provides tracking, estimates, and reminders for convenience. Renewal dates, prices, currencies, and detected services may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain responsible for confirming charges, cancellations, refunds, trial deadlines, and billing terms directly with the relevant subscription provider.

6. Payments and Paid Features

SubSplit may offer free, paid, beta, or waitlist-only features. If paid features are introduced, pricing, billing cycle, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms will be presented before purchase or subscription. Third-party app stores or payment processors may apply additional terms.

7. Split Bills

Split Bills features are intended to help organize shared expenses. They do not move money, guarantee repayment, provide legal collection rights, or replace agreements between participants. You are responsible for verifying balances and settlements with the people involved.

8. Intellectual Property

SubSplit, including its software, design, branding, website, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, distribute, modify, sell, or create derivative works from SubSplit except as allowed by law or with our written permission. Third-party brand names and logos belong to their respective owners.

9. Third-Party Services

SubSplit integrates with services such as Supabase, Google, Gmail API, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Brandfetch, AI providers, OCR providers, and exchange-rate providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party service outages, changes, or policies.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and retain information. By using SubSplit, you agree that we can process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Disclaimers

SubSplit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate. SubSplit is not financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SubSplit and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed cancellations, failed reminders, billing disputes, or third-party charges arising from your use of the service.

13. Termination

You may stop using SubSplit at any time and may delete your account from the app where supported. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for other users or the service, or if we are required to do so by law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you through the app, website, or account email. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
